John H. and Wilda M. (Davis) Glenn, Wray
John H. Glenn, 26, born in Marion County, Iowa to Jonathan Glenn and Hanna Chenowith,
married Wilda Mae Davis, 22, daughter of John R.mDavis and Anna Reich on July 4, 1901 in Clarke County, Iowa.
In 1910 Franklin County, Nebraska, John is a farm laborer, 34, with Wilda M. 28.
May 1912 Wray "J. H. Glenn, of Osceola, Iowa,
came in on No. 9, Saturday morning, and is visiting at
the home of our townsman, E. E. Hovermale and family."
January 1913 "J. H. Glenn returned to his home in
Osceola last Saturday and will come back in about two
weeks and bring his family with him. They will locate
on a homestead north of this place."

"John Glenn and wife, who have a claim north of Wray,
visited the M. F. Glenn family from Saturday until
Monday. The two men are cousins."
John proved up 320 acres in sections 22, 27 and 28, 2N 43W in 1916.
His 1914 witnesses were George Long, Cosey Blanchard, John Penton, and John W> Moore, all of Wray.
In 1920 Yuma County, John H. Glenn is farming, 45, with Wilda May 40, both born in Iowa. Rebecka is 7, born in Iowa, Ora E. 2 in COlorado. Wilda' smother Ana Davis 61, widowed, born in Iowa, is with them.
John H. Glenn and Wilda M. Davis had Dorothy Darlene Glenn on October 19, 1923 in Osceola, Iowa - dying November 22, 2004 as Cole.
In 1930 Clarke County, Wilda D. is 50, married but no spouse, a practical nurse. Edna 12 born in Colorado and Leona M. 6 born in Iowa are with her. So is her mother-in-law Hanna E. Glenn 84, widowed.
Wilda May (Davis) Glenn 1880-1935 is buried in Clarke County # 24588156.
In 1940 Clarke County, John is a laborer in a rock factory, 64, born in Iowa, widowed, a boarder with Cora German 62 widowed, born in Iowa.
John Henry Glenn 1875-1948 is buried in the same cemetery # 24588204.

REBECCA
Reba Glenn married Gerald Frederick Curnes on May 4, 1929 - Gerald 1901-1962 died in Grand Island, Nebraska, and is buried in Harvard Cemetery, Clay County, Nebraska.
In 1930 Clarke County, Gerald is 27, a garage mechanic, 27, with Reba 18 and Geralding five months, all born in Iowa.
" Gerald F. Curnes died June 2 at Grand Island, Nebr., after being taken to the local hospital. His death was unexpected. Services were held June 5 at the Chapel of the Geddess Funeral Home. Mr. Curnes was born Aug. 5, 1901 , at Osceola, Iowa, to Fred and Anna Curnes. He received hi education in the Osceola schools. He was married to Reba Glenn at Osceola and the couple had two daughters. Mrs. Curnes died Sept. 30, 1941. Mr. Curnes went to Nebraska and worked at the Naval Ammunitions Depot during World War II. He married Mrs. Marie Lippincott of Hastings, June 28, 1943, at Fremont, Nebr. they made their home in Hastings until 1948 when they moved to Grand Island. He has been employed at the Woodland Country Club as caretaker since that time. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harrold Spath of North Bend, Nebr., five grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Milton Hill of Hadoverhills, Md., and five brothers, John of Kenosha, Wisc., Elvin of Portland, Ore., Bernard of Falls City, Nebr.; Audrey of Norwalk W. Va.; and Harley of Winterset, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Donald and Alvin, a daughter Geraldine and his first wife. Interment at the Harvard cemetery. "

Geraldine is 10, livign with guardians Oscar L. and harriett Boatman.

Geraldine Curnes 1929-1947 is buried in Clarke County # 13322967.

the daughter of Gerald Frederick Curnes and Reba Elizabeth Glenn,
in Osceola Township, Clarke, Iowa. She died 5 September 1947
when the car she was traveling in hit a train."
"Helen Marie Spath, 83 years, of North Bend, Nebraska died Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Helen was born June 20, 1932 in Osceola, Iowa to Gerald F. and Reba (Glenn) Curnes.
Helen moved to the Scribner area at the age of five and was raised by her great aunt and uncle, Ora and Edd Dunaway. She was a 1950 graduate of Scribner High School and attended Wayne State College for two summers to receive her Normal Teaching Certificate. Helen married Harold C. Spath November 5, 1950 at the First Congregational Church in Scribner, Nebraska. Harold died July 25, 1989. Her husband entered the US Army shortly after their marriage and she taught at District 27 at Webster, Nebraska. When Harold returned from Korea they lived in Tacoma, Washington until his discharge. They farmed west of Webster until Harold's death. Helen moved to North Bend in 1990. She worked at Birchwood Manor in North Bend until retiring in 2003.
Helen was a former member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Snyder, Nebraska where she was active in Ladies Aide and Sunday School. She became a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in North Bend when she moved there. She was a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary in Snyder for twenty-five years then transferred to North Bend V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #8223 and was a former President of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She was a charter member of Morse Bluff/North Bend Veterans Memorial Park Committee.
Helen is survived by sons, Fred (Doreen) Spath, Urbandale, Iowa, Jim (Mary) Spath, Webster, Nebraska and Steward (Kris) Spath, Eagle, Nebraska; daughters, Rebecca (Warren) Renner, Webster, Nebraska and Treva (Larry) Farris, Nebraska City, Nebraska; daughter-in-law, Karen McVicker, Hampton, Iowa; twenty grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her guardians; husband, Harold; son, Roger Spath in 1998; sister, Geraldine Curnes; and one great granddaughter, Jayde Deterding.
Funeral service at 10:30 A.M., Monday, March 21, 2016 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in North Bend. The Rev. Jonathan Ripke will officiate. Visitation Sunday from 4 PM to 8 PM with family receiving friends from 6 PM to 8 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at St. Peter Lutheran Church in North Bend and will continue Monday one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial at 2:00 PM at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Snyder, Nebraska."
EDNA
Fargust Earl Lamb 1911-1944 is buried in Clarke County, with O. Edna Lamb - April 4, 1917- August 29, 2005 # 13322962.
"Barbara Phyllis Green was born June 26, 1939, and went to heaven on April 15, 2017.
Barbara was born in Woodburn, Iowa, to Anna Ora Edna (Glenn) and Fargust Earl Lamb. She attended grade school in Osceola, Iowa, and went to high school in Chariton, Iowa.
She met and married Jimmie Donahue of Lucas, and had five children: Brenda of Chariton, Tracy of Indianola, Dennis of Liberty Center, Lance of Chariton and Shawnda of Osceola.
She later married Dwight Green of New Virginia. She said he was the love of her life. They loved hunting, garage sales, flea markets and especially loved traveling to their cabin in Condon, Mont. They were in the process of building on land they had purchased for a store in Whitefish, when Dwight passed away in 1990. Later, she still loved her garage sales, flea markets and auctions. She was a collector of dolls, spoons and Snow White Lenox items. She also loved when the grandchildren and great-grandchildren came to visit. She was especially anxious to meet the two new additions to the family.
She had various jobs, including a cook at Simpson College, but the one that she retired from after 33 years was Herschel Mfg. in Indianola, Iowa.
Barb is survived by daughters, Brenda and Shawnda; and sons Tracy, Dennis and Lance; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren with two on the way. Two sisters, Beverly McRoberts (Gene) of Chariton and Carolyn McCart (Kenneth) of Corydon, and many nieces and nephews.
Proceeding her in death are her parents, Edna and Fargust, brothers, Lonnie and Samuel, brother-in-law, Gene McRoberts, and sister-in-law Elizabeth (Tootie) Lamb; stepfather Harley Funk and husbands, Jimmie Donahue and Dwight Green.
She will be greatly and truly missed. She was the strongest, toughest, kindest woman on the planet.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola, Iowa"
